Ember
The den - the one you sink into after dark.
Warm woods, aged brass, and lamplight kept deliberately low. Ember is the room for slow evenings: a deep sofa, a full kitchen for the kind of cooking you don't rush, and two bedrooms dressed for hard, quiet sleep. Rustic in feel, exacting in comfort.
The layout is two bedrooms and one full bath across a single floor of the rowhouse. One bedroom holds a king, the other a queen, and the living room adds a queen sleeper sofa, so the space works for a couple, a family, or two couples travelling together. The kitchen is full size with real cookware, which starts to matter on any stay longer than a weekend.
Ember suits guests who plan to be in the unit rather than only sleeping in it. A long weekend with dinner cooked at home, a week of remote work at the desk, or a family in town for a University of Tampa move-in who want somewhere to gather at the end of the day.
Melville Row sits at 206 South Melville Avenue in Hyde Park, Tampa. South Howard is a short walk, with Hyde Park Village and Bayshore Boulevard close behind. The University of Tampa, Tampa General Hospital and downtown are all a brief drive, and parking on site is free. Our Tampa guidebook lists the places we actually go.
