Forge
The workshop - grounded, built to last.
Blackened steel, concrete, and leather that will outlive its lease. Forge is the most architectural of the three: clean industrial lines, a serious kitchen, and two bedrooms that read like well-kept secrets. For the guest who wants substance over softness.
Two bedrooms and one full bath, with a queen bed in each bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The matched beds make Forge the easiest of the three for two couples or a pair of colleagues, since neither party ends up with the smaller room.
It reads well for working stays. The kitchen is full size, the workspace is a real desk rather than a corner of a table, and the unit is a short drive from Tampa General and downtown, with free on-site parking so a rental car is no complication.
Melville Row sits at 206 South Melville Avenue in Hyde Park, Tampa. South Howard is a short walk, with Hyde Park Village and Bayshore Boulevard close behind. The University of Tampa, Tampa General Hospital and downtown are all a brief drive, and parking on site is free. Our Tampa guidebook lists the places we actually go.
